Honoring Our Mothers

  • Friday, May 3, 2013

Emilie BarnesMother's Day is coming up on May 12th, and in keeping with this tradition of honoring the special mom's in our lives, Emilie Barnes has created some very special Mother's Day programs for you this month on "Keep It Simple."

Throughout her Mother's Day messages, Emilie reminds us that moms are an important part of God's creation, and that a Godly mother is a gift and blessing to her family.  We need to cherish, honor and be thankful for our mothers.

Springtime!

  • Tuesday, March 19, 2013

springtimeSpring is almost here and after your home has been closed up all winter won't it be nice to open up the windows and let fresh, spring air and sunshine in?

Sometimes it's hard to feel thankful. Life's circumstances have a way of knocking us down so that all we can see is what ...

Grandparent's Day

Emilie and Bob Barnes with GrandkidsOne of the very special blessings in life is the gift of being a grandparent.  If you are a grandparent, you know just what I mean -- that smile, just for you from your sweet grandchild, no matter how old, that says, "I love you!"

Or, maybe you have been blessed with a special grandparent in your life.  Someone to look up to, someone you know always prays for you.  Someone who used to sneak you an extra cookie, or dig into their pocketful of change and share it with you.

Emilie Barnes of Keep It Simple is the proud grandparent ...
