The Value of Life and the Future of Our Nation

  • Monday, September 19, 2016

Edmund Burke once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

That's why every day on "Life Issues®," Brad Mattes is committed to encouraging, educating and supporting listeners regarding the value of innocent human life:

"I think of our radio program Life Issues® as a life-saving tool. Every week day, our goal is to teach listeners how to be an advocate for the protection of innocent human life."

And with the upcoming election in November, now is the time to take a stance on life saving issues.  Critical decisions are ...

Life Issues® Take-Away

  • Monday, August 8, 2016

One of the frequent questions we ask at Ambassador is, "What's the take-away?"

We know the inherent value of listeners hearing a message on the radio and walking away from it with answers to questions like:

- Why is that important?

- How does that affect me?

- Now what?

In "Life issues" programming, Brad Mattes provides listeners with valuable take-away - here are three examples from recent programs:

Ben Watson on Planned Parenthood

"Professional athletes make a huge impact on young people.  In the case of Baltimore Ravens tight end, Ben Watson, he's making the right impact.  Ben's already known ...

Don't Be Silent

  • Monday, June 20, 2016

It's said that communication is key.

As a mom of a teenager about to start high school, I couldn't agree more.

My soon-to-be freshman is taking summer school surveys which often communicate worldview messages.

Recently, she told me about a survey in her health class which equated abortion to adoption as an option to an unplanned pregnancy.

In a recent "Life Issues®" commentary, Brad Mattes shares the story about a college student taking a photography class.  Her professor told her to showcase something she was passionate about-and since she's passionate against abortion, the student told him she ...

The Worst and Best of Times

  • Monday, May 9, 2016

One of my favorite literary quotes is from a book published nearly 200 years ago, Charles Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities."  It's the well-known introduction, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times . . . it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair...   "

In many ways, Dicken's description of the contrasts and comparisons between London and Paris during the French Revolution is as applicable today as it was in the late 1700s  . . . there are major conflicts between good ...

One Minute Mother's Day Reflections

  • Monday, April 18, 2016

My mom has been an amazing blessing in my life and in the lives of my children.  Esperanza, which means hope in Spanish, has lived with my children and I for over a decade.  She is 80 now and I'm keenly aware of how fleeting and precious time with her is now.

Brad Mattes notes in a special Mother's Day "Life Issues®" radio series that Mother's Day is the perfect time to recall all the things your mom has done for you throughout your life:

"First and foremost she gave you life.  Your mom struggled through the ...

Doritos and the Baby

  • Tuesday, February 9, 2016

Every year, the Super Bowl draws a huge audience - and advertisers big and small go head-to-head trying to capture the largest segment of that audience.

But a commercial spot comes at a steep price, and advertisers from start-ups to stalwarts felt the pressure in this year's game.

Brad Mattes, President and speaker on "Life Issues®" wants to keep the pressure on the backlash which the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) has received in response to their attack on the Doritos commercial.

NARAL took to Twitter Sunday night to express outrage after a Doritos commercial during Super Bowl 50 ...
