Have you ever promised to pray for someone . . . without following through? I'll be the first to admit that I have. Sometimes I forget. Other times, I am in the middle of my own mini-life crisis and have enough problems of my own to pray for. Most of the time, however, I know that saying "I'll pray for you" is the easy (or fast) way out of a difficult (or long) conversation. Our lives will go on and the problem will eventually work itself out.

Vending machines are convenient. They provide you with the soda and chips you've been craving all day. They now also dispense DVD's, fresh flower bouquets, and even a pre-heated kosher hot dog! It's incredible! They are open 24/7 and are there to help you in case you get hungry or bored (or both!) at three in the morning.

Life Issues® with Brad Mattes reminds me of the power behind numbers. It's not just a digit ... it's a life.
In college we used to say that we were just a "number." Our school ID number was needed to check e-mail, register for classes, get into the café, and even access our rooms!
I'm sure you can relate. We all have a phone number, bank account number, license plate number and social security number. Thankfully, these numbers aren't designed to dehumanize us, but help things run smoothly in our daily life.
