Help for Boy-Crazy Girls

  • Monday, October 14, 2013

While I wouldn't describe my 10-year-old daughter as "boy-crazy," I know many moms with daughters who are and they are seeking advice for how to combat it.  We tend to think that girls who grow up without a father figure are the boy-crazy ones, but I've seen this trait exhibited in girls who come from a variety of home situations.  So, what is the answer for raising young women who love God and are not dependent on boys for their happiness or security?

Our friend Paula Hendricks at Revive Our Hearts who serves as chief blogger for True ...

Revive '13: Women Helping Women

  • Monday, September 16, 2013

I have a real passion for helping women realize the peace, hope, and strength that's available to them in Christ.  While serving as a leader in women's ministry at my church, I found the experience to be one of the most rewarding yet challenging times in my faith journey.  When you see the impact that a godly woman can have in her marriage, family, church and community, it makes the investment worthwhile.

Revive Our Hearts just concluded their eight-city Revive Tour and along with the ministry, we're praising God for how He worked during the last stop in Lancaster PA.  Here's one powerful email they received upon arriving home:

"A miracle happened Friday night at the Revive Tour in Lancaster.  I had invited five women, but no one accepted, so my twenty-four-year-old unsaved son said he'd come with me.  The message that night was right on, and my son was broken, humbled, and repentant.  He asked the Lord to come into his life that night and has since witnessed ...

Enduring Life's Hardships

  • Monday, June 3, 2013

In recent days, I've heard about many struggles and difficulties that are impacting the lives of people I know.  A cancer diagnosis, the sudden death of a family member, a husband is stricken with a seizure and remains in critical condition, and a friend gets laid off from his job.  It's very hard to watch friends suffer and yet, as believers, we know that God has a purpose for everything.

When life gets hard and our circumstances are overwhelming, we all face the temptation to be discouraged or to give in.  This week on Revive Our Hearts, Nancy ...
