We know God wants us to step out in faith, but I have to admit my doubts often step in. I wonder if I'm really hearing God correctly, and if this decision will turn out to be a wrong choice I'll regret.

Christmas music, holiday decorations, and shopping ... it sounds like Christmas is almost here once again! Don't you just love the Christmas season?

You've seen them... the people holding signs up needing money, food, and help of some sort. I pass them all the time on the freeway entrance and exits. They are in front of stores -- often with children, but so many are scams. How do we know who really needs help and what we should do?

I had just finished reading I Thessalonians 5:18, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus," and decided that I was really going to try and live this.
So you know of course what happened next... a day full of frustrating circumstances, and I have to say I wasn't very thankful for them!

While reading my daily devotional "A Woman after God's Own Heart by Elizabeth George" her message, "Stop Complaining" really hit home with me.
After praying about the message, the Lord showed me that instead of complaining, what I needed was a thankful heart. He reminded me He was there working His will for me in everything -- good and bad.
