News & Insights

With 50 years of experience, we "get" that things are always changing! That's why we've dedicated a section of our website to provide the very latest information about the speakers and ministries we serve--and about us, too. Come take a look at "what's new"--or use the sidebar options to take a deeper look at areas of particular interest. In case you wonder what we think, we've dedicated a space for commentary (including guest posts). And take a look at who's been to Ambassador lately in our own version of the Greenroom!

Be Careful What You Pray For

IF YOU REALLY KNEW ME

Have you ever prayed for humility and then completely regretted it once the Lord actually began to answer that prayer?

It's almost humorous how in every season of life I pray for an increase in this area, but when it's time for me to choose to "bow low" it's as if a spotlight shines directly onto my stubbornness.

Have you ever played the game "If you really knew me?"  All you do is fill in the blank to the phrase, "If you really knew me, you would know ____."  The point is ...

Who Determines Right and Wrong?

It's always a treat when one of our ministry partners comes to town and we have the opportunity to see them speak in person.  Even better is when they come to speak at your own church!  This was the case for me last weekend when BreakPoint® host and friend John Stonestreet served as our guest speaker at Saddleback Church this past weekend.

John was asked to be part of an apologetics lecture series tackling the "Great Questions of Life," addressing areas of origin, purpose, death, and authority.  In John's message, he noted why these great questions really matter ...

What Your Listeners Get on Janet Mefferd Today

Janet-Mefferd-Today-radio

Monday is here.  A new week, a refreshed vision for life and work.  The morning sped by and the lunch crowd is gathering in the kitchen.  Approaching the dining area, you hear excited chattering, fridge door revolving, microwave beeping, toaster toasting.  Enter the lunch room and you see a group of Ambassador employees sharing family stories, new recipes, church sermons, and viral videos.

Scott is special for a lot of reasons - he's quick to smile, likes everyone and is always eager to help.   Scott is near and dear to the hearts of many  . . . including mine.  Scott is 17 year olds and has Down syndrome.

Just as the other children in our church whom I've watched grow up, Scott has a special place in my heart.  He's taught me many things ...

God's Promise

God's PromisesPsalm 32:8 is one of my favorite psalms!  "I will instruct you says the Lord God and teach you in the way you should go.  I will guide you with my eye."  It brings me great comfort to know God is directing me in His will, if I will listen!  Do you need this promise today about something going on in your life?

On "A Woman after God's Own Heart" this month, Elizabeth George, has many encouraging programs addressing different situations you may be facing -- (10/19) New Habits; (10/23) Making it Through the Dark; (10/28 ...
