  • Monday, August 29, 2016

When Jesus gave the Great Commission to the disciples, these ordinary men were faced with a seemingly overwhelming task: Making disciples of all nations.

Yet in the midst of this seemingly overwhelming directive, Jesus assured them, “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:20)

And that we draw ever closer to the end of the age, Christians continue the work of taking the gospel to every corner of the earth.

Celebrating 25 Years of BreakPoint®!

My son started his sophomore year of high school today at a school marking its 50th year with the motto, “Tradition Never Graduates.”  This phrase sticks with me as I consider an important milestone for “BreakPoint®,” a daily radio program marking its 25th year.

The Power of a Changed Heart

"If He doesn't change our circumstances, He changes our hearts to meet our circumstances." - Max Lucado

Recently, Steve Douglass reflected on these words in a recent edition of "Making Your Life Count". He reminds us of the power of a changed heart by posing the question, "Just how have you seen God's grace evident in your own life?"

For me, I've seen the sufficiency of God's grace play out through two of my friends that recently went through a miscarriage.

While they were absolutely devastated, angry, and confused at why the Lord would allow this, I ...
