Barry demonstrates consistently that our job is "to turn every circumstance into an opportunity to lead people to Jesus Christ."  I left the Convention with three key lessons:

1)    "You don't have to be trained to love on people."

Whether it's praying for the waitress who shares her family struggles, offering a ...

The Incomparable Christ

Nancy Leigh DeMoss says, "What we believe about Jesus determines our ultimate destiny."  Just as Jesus asked his disciples, "who do you say that I am?" - It's the question every person must answer.

It is not enough to know that Jesus is incomparable.  We must steadfastly fix our eyes and our hope upon Him:

  • He alone is able to save us from our sin ...

personal-brand-max-lucado-easterIn college, I studied business administration.  As part of the curriculum, I read online business articles, mostly found through LinkedIn.  It was fascinating to find how many articles focused on "personal branding."

Personal branding is the idea of people marketing themselves as a brand, in order to build a reputation and network.  This was a whole new idea to me, and I was excited to learn about it!

As is the case for most college seniors, I felt unsure about what to expect directly after college.  Seeing personal branding as the way to guarantee success, I read dozens of articles ...

Coffee & Care Commonalities

coffee-mercy-shipsWhen I was in high school, I worked at Starbucks.  Up until my employment there, I had not been much for coffee.  The ambiance-loving, stoked-about-life teenager that I was fared well in that coffee house environment.  AND, that's where my love (friends call it "obsession" or "addiction") for coffee began.

Between creating fun drinks like caramel macchiatos, wiping counters, and refilling the Splenda containers, I had a wonderful opportunity to observe people's behaviors.

Some customers came in every single morning (if I had the budget for it, I'd do the same!).  Other customers appeared sporadically, every few ...

A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles. - Christopher Reeve

A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.-Joseph Campbell

On February 20, we lost a genuine American hero-and a dear friend to Ambassador.

A successful obstetrician, Dr. John C. Willke left private practice in 1988 to devote himself full-time to the pro-life movement.  His illustrious career included many years as President of the National Right ...
