With 50 years of experience, we "get" that things are always changing! That's why we've dedicated a section of our website to provide the very latest information about the speakers and ministries we serve--and about us, too. Come take a look at "what's new"--or use the sidebar options to take a deeper look at areas of particular interest. In case you wonder what we think, we've dedicated a space for commentary (including guest posts). And take a look at who's been to Ambassador lately in our own version of the Greenroom!

How Do I Choose the Right Church?

  • Tuesday, June 26, 2012
  • Michelle Blood

When my husband and I moved to Lancaster PA nearly five years ago, finding the right church was our primary goal.  We had several options to choose from, including one our relatives attended.  We anticipated the search would be easy.  It wasn't.

And now I know why.  In John MacArthur's opening statement on "Grace to You®" this week he says:

"I think the church today is lost in a maze of options, a smorgasbord of choices ... mostly dictated by the idea that we have to appeal to people who are unconverted and design a church to appeal to ...

Christian Radio Produces Brave Volunteers

brave-volunteersThe new Disney-Pixar movie "Brave" came out over the weekend.  I know a handful of college-aged girls who plan to go see it together.  Rumor is, their night out includes crimping and teasing their hair in attempt to resemble the title character's unruly locks.  Some may question their good sense for publicly parading with "crazy hair" where they are certain to attract attention.  I call it -- appropriately -- brave.

Recently, I witnessed how Christian radio equipped a group of people to bravely do the following:

  1. Jump -- not step -- out of your comfort zone in serving the disability community by fully ...

A Picture Worth a Thousand Words

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

I know of one instance for which this is literally true.

Maybe not "a thousand" words, but there's a web site which creates custom word pictures.  You type in the words (nouns, adjectives, verbs, etc.), choose a font, color, shape, and hit submit.  In seconds, you have a word picture.

I entered words which describe Anne Graham Lotz:  Bible, Teacher, Love, Jesus, Scripture, Revival, Radio and "Daily Light for Daily Living®." Though my list is not comprehensive, the word picture provides a glimpse of who Anne is and what she ...

Fathers Matter!

"Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad." - Anne Geddes

My dad is 81 now and I'm so grateful for his presence and positive influence in my life and in the lives of my children.  He called me the other day just to check-in and while our conversation was brief, it left a major impression on me, mostly causing me to pause and thank God for the gift of my dad.

While our society tends to treat fathers as unnecessary, it's apparent that a father's presence is critical to raising ...
