What Is Love?

A friend lost her battle to cancer - she and her husband had just celebrated their 25th anniversary . . . they marked it with him holding her hand as she succumbed to the disease.  A young couple at our church fell in love in our high school group, graduated from college and were married in a beautiful outdoor ceremony this past weekend.

Seeing the depths of love expressed through the tears of a grieving husband and the glow in the faces of the newlyweds, made me reflect on this thing called love.  And, with ...

Family Facts: The Benefits of Marriage

This is National Marriage Week-a weeklong campaign to "strengthen marriage, reduce divorce, and promote marriage prior to childbearing."  A primary objective of this campaign is to promote the benefits of marriage, including the fact that stronger marriages bring economic stability to individuals and to the nation and provides the best environment for thriving children.

All this month, the "Family Facts" radio program from The Heritage Foundation is calling attention to the many benefits of marriage, promoting its value to individuals and our society.  For example, did you know these facts?
