One Sure Guide in An Unsure World

We had a display at church this weekend featuring fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a leaf from the Gutenberg Bible.   It was pretty awe inspiring to see up close such amazing treasures dating back to 1455.

I also made sure that my children saw it.   As a mom, faith in Christ and building a relationship with Him through His Word is my most important and most privileged priority.

Thinking about the significance of the morning, I was reminded by something Anne Graham Lotz has shared - something her mother wrote to her in the flyleaf of her first Bible ...

New Inspiring Film from Focus: The Drop Box

It's the kind of film you watch with tissues close at hand.  The one you want to immediately tell your friends about.  The Drop Box, the award-winning documentary presented by Focus on the Family is moving, inspiring and very impacting.

The film introduces viewers to Lee Jong-rak -- a pastor in Seoul who has set up a "drop box" at the front of his church to rescue babies that would otherwise be abandoned.

Making the Jesus’ Luke 14 Mandate a Reality

Thomas started attending our church a few weeks ago.  He sits a few rows over from where I sit.  We exchanged smiles a few times but I hesitated to greet him personally.

Here's the thing.  I didn't how to communicate with him. 

Finally, after much prayer and some preparation, I decided it was time.

Making Ebola Kick the Bucket

Bucket BrigadeEbola may no longer be a top story in the U.S., but the crisis continues to ravage places like Sierra Leone, Africa.  Reach Beyond is doing something about it -- and your station can help!

In response to hearing of stories of people being quarantined in their homes without the supplies they need to survive, Reach Beyond is leading an initiative called the Bucket Brigade.  

The Bucket Brigade is an effort to equip these families with the vital supplies they need.  Families will be provided with large buckets containing food, soap, gloves, bleach and other necessities.
