News & Insights

With 50 years of experience, we "get" that things are always changing! That's why we've dedicated a section of our website to provide the very latest information about the speakers and ministries we serve--and about us, too. Come take a look at "what's new"--or use the sidebar options to take a deeper look at areas of particular interest. In case you wonder what we think, we've dedicated a space for commentary (including guest posts). And take a look at who's been to Ambassador lately in our own version of the Greenroom!

40 Years of Faithfulness

In FamilyLife's recent Legacy Report (40th Anniversary Edition), Dennis Rainey says:

"When I look back on the history of FamilyLife, I can only say, in the words of Paul: 'Now to him who is able to do more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever, Amen.' (Eph. 3:20-21 ESV)"

All this week on "FamilyLife Today," co-founders Dennis and Barbara Rainey talk about FamilyLife's 40 years of ministry to marriages and families-starting ...

A Q & A Session with Joni About Suffering

I met up recently with a high school friend who is struggling through some tough life situations.

We read through Psalms and prayed.  I also told him about Joni Eareckson Tada. While he'd heard about her (he'd heard her on the radio), he wasn't familiar with her ministry or her life story.

I took him to the Joni and Friends® Facebook page and played last Friday's Facebook Live event, A Question and Answer Session with Joni about Suffering.

Standing on True Conviction

Leading in Sunday's special worship service for delegates at the Republican National Convention, Pastor Jim Garlow said, "If there's going to be a coronation in Cleveland, let it be a coronation for King Jesus!"  In his message, he also challenged pastors to "stop telling stories about Dietrich Bonhoeffer and start acting like him."

Just as he does on his daily radio feature, "The Garlow Perspective," Jim doesn't shy away from speaking out about the cultural issues of the day and addressing them from a biblical perspective.

When Jim learned he was being forced to pay for abortions ...

What Do I Say to My Daughter?

As I was watching the news unfold regarding the tragedy in Dallas, I thought to myself, "what am I going to say to my daughter?"

I'm so glad Brad Mattes was not only able, but willing, to answer the question.

As Brad shares in a "Life Issues®" commentary,

"We many not fully know the details of the shooting which led to this, for weeks to come. There's one thing we do know.  It's the thing that should direct our thoughts and actions in the fallout of these tragic events.  God's the author of human life and ...
