With 50 years of experience, we "get" that things are always changing! That's why we've dedicated a section of our website to provide the very latest information about the speakers and ministries we serve--and about us, too. Come take a look at "what's new"--or use the sidebar options to take a deeper look at areas of particular interest. In case you wonder what we think, we've dedicated a space for commentary (including guest posts). And take a look at who's been to Ambassador lately in our own version of the Greenroom!
When Tragedy Hits Close to Home
My mood on Saturday morning suddenly turned somber as I learned about the shooting tragedy that took place in Tucson, my hometown.
Having reconnected with many Tucson friends through Facebook, I started seeing their posts shortly after the event occurred and in seeing pictures on the news, realized that this tragic event took place in a very familiar shopping center located just a few minutes from where I used to live.
Even though Arizona politics have become heated in recent years, I couldn't imagine something like this happening in this small community. Growing up in Tucson, I can recall ...

Over the past several weeks I've been doing a fair amount of "pondering" ... in large measure precipitated by a personal move. In a rapid chain of events that's kept me in a head-spinning mode for three months, I sold my home of 23 years, the place where Jon moved from earth to heaven, and landed in a new (to me) nest. It's been an extraordinary thing -- houses just don't sell in SoCal right now, especially when it isn't even listed. The best part of the whole saga is that my beloved abode now holds a ...

Happy New Year! Are you setting any New Year's resolutions?
A new year and a fresh start are great encouragements to take a look at areas in our lives that need some improvement.
But, after a few weeks, or even days, most people go back to their old habits, feeling discouraged that they failed again and can't keep their resolutions.
Instead of setting short-lived resolutions, Emilie Barnes encourages us to set realistic goals. If you have a plan, there's more probability your goals will be achieved.
Here are a few examples of failed resolutions that can be ...

"The ultimate test of a moral society is the kind of world that it leaves to its children." Dietrich Bonhoeffer
In a recent email from FamilyLife, Dennis Rainey said this statement from Dietrich Bonhoeffer--German theologian who died standing against Hitler's evil regime--impacted him so much he wrote a letter of apology to his adult children. Here's portion of that letter he shared with readers:
The assignment that Bonhoeffer wrote about is soon to become yours, but I wanted you to know that your mom and I attempted to do our part in leaving you something good-quite different than ...

I read a great article in the LA Times on January 1st . . . in Gone in the Blink of an Eye, the writer shared how quickly 2010 went by and how research has shown that the more years you have, the faster they seem to go.
The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), now in its 60th year of ministry, has no doubt experienced what this writer noted - the years seeming to pass faster and faster as their ministry outreach grows. It's no wonder then that the BGEA faces 2011 as it does every New Year-without letting the grass ...

Reflection is a common word this time of year but what my pastor shared this week in his message was anything but common.
He encouraged us to take a deep breath of grace while we review and reflect on what God has done in our lives this past year. To take the time to write down what we thought of this past year and then ask God what He thought about it.
Reflecting and remembering what God has done in our lives in 2010 is an important assignment - personally and corporately.
And that's what the ministry of Anne Graham ...
