For more than a decade, Jim Garlow has served as Senior Pastor of the historic Skyline Church (Rancho San Diego CA) with worship attendance of approximately 3500 each week. He's written several books, including A Christian's Response to Islam, How God Saved Civilization, The Covenant, The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership and Tested by Time. His book Cracking Da Vinci's Code, has sold over 350,000 copies. In the Fall, be watching for his next book, "Heaven and the After Life."
In addition to his role as author, pastor, speaker and church history expert, he also brings a rich educational background to his broadcast outreach as a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University (A.A.), Southern Nazarene University (B.A. & M.A.), Asbury Theological Seminar (Master of Divinity), Princeton Theological Seminary (Master of Theology) and Drew University (Doctorate of Philosophy in Historical Theology). He also serves on the Advisory Board for Oklahoma Wesleyan University in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and is part of the Beeson Clergy Council of Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, working with doctoral candidates. Additionally, Jim Garlow serves as Chairman for Renewing American Leadership (ReAL), further deepending his ability to bridge the Church and culture.
Jim Garlow has been married to Carol, his partner in ministry, for over 30 years. Together, they've openly shared their journey battling Carol's cancer diagnosis for the past several years so that others might be encouraged in faith as well. They are the parents of four children -- Josie, Jacob, Joshua (an assistant Minister of Music at Skyline Church) and Janie (whose husband Jeremy is pastor of church-plant Seven San Diego in Chula Vista, California). Jim and Carol are also proud grandparents of Riley!
