A nationally recognized home-and-office organization expert, author, speaker, and homemaker, Emilie Barnes is also an active participant in the More Hours in My Day time-management seminars she founded with her husband, Bob.

A gifted communicator, Emilie has been speaking throughout the United States and Canada for more than 20 years, teaching women creative ways to get organized and simplify their lives-enthusiastically and creatively helping women learn how to cut cleaning and cooking time in half, save money on grocery bills, set up and stick to a budget, entertain without hassles, create holiday traditions, and much more.

She's a prolific author of more than 70 books. Following the success of her best-selling If Teacups Could Talk and The Twelve Teas of Christmas, women have looked to Emilie in anticipation of discovering new and exciting suggestions for gathering women together in the spirit of friendship. Some of her other best-selling books are Beautiful Home on a Budget; Simply Organized; Secrets of the Garden; An Invitation to Tea; 15 Minutes Alone with God; 15 Minutes of Peace With God; and Safe in the Father's Hands.

Emilie has been a frequent guest on radio and television programs nationwide, including The 700 Club, The Pat Boone Show, Focus on the Family. Her Keep it Simple 1:00 spots are heard daily on hundreds of stations across the country.

Barnes has a practical approach to life that originates from her challenging background-only four years into marriage, Emilie found herself caring for her own two children and her brother's three kids, all under the age of five years. Exhausted, the idea for her ministry was born.

Emilie lives in Newport Beach, California with her husband, Bob. They have two grown children who have blessed them with grandchildren who are the love of their lives.
