9/11 Poster

Our Prayer is that this artistic reflection on the events of September 11, 2001, will continually remind us ...

... that we are called to Compassion - "Help me, Lord, not to turn away from pain. Help me not to rest while those around me weep."

... that we are surrounded by ordinary citizens who, on perhaps the darkest day of our country's history, chose to respond in extraordinary measure.

... that we are uniquely blessed to live in the United States of America, where our privilege to speak Truth remains upheld.

... Most of all that despite grief, fear, anger, confusion ... our eternal confidence is in the God of the Universe - who reigns indeed!

The events of 9/11 moved us all greatly. It was Ambassador's privilege to commission the creation of a powerful artistic rendering that reminds us of the eternal perspective. We welcome you to view and obtain a copy for yourself, if you like.

About the Artist: In the midst of considering this project, we noticed a wonderful New York scene on a card in our graphic artist's office. To our delight, Brian Gustafson shared it was part of a series of cityscape drawings done by Craig S. Holmes, an accomplished artist based in Portland, Oregon - and also Brian's father-in-law. As a fellow believer, it is a joy to collaborate in an effort that affords creative outlet for gifts of the Body!

NOTE: We would be delighted to share a copy of this poster with you - just e-mail Peggy.
