We realize you have limitless avenues for finding the “fodder” that can help make your on-air personalities sound fascinating, relevant and substantive. But we’d love to help make that happen by adding a few “tidbits” to the mix. The stuff you’ll find here is mostly about the ministries we serve (events, birthdays, milestones)—but definitely not limited to that. In 1986: After massive hoopla, reporter Geraldo Rivera hosted a live TV special to open a sealed vault linked to Al Capone in Chicago's Lexington Hotel. Except for a few bottles, the vault was empty.

In 1989: Anti-communist protest in Tiananmen Square grew to 100,000 in Beijing; troops suppressed it six weeks later, killing thousands.

San Jacinto Day in Texas, the anniversary of the day Texas won its independence from Mexico by defeating the army of General Santa Anna at San Jacinto in 1836.
